2581 (Sahih Muslim 2581)

The Rights of People (Ḥuqūq al-ʿIbād)
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Do you know who the bankrupt person is? The bankrupt person is the one who will come on the Day of Resurrection with prayers, fasting, and zakat. However, he will have insulted one person, falsely accused another, unlawfully consumed someone’s wealth, shed someone’s blood, or struck someone. His good deeds will therefore be given to those he wronged. If his good deeds are exhausted before justice has been fully served, their sins will be placed upon him, and then he will be thrown into the Fire.”
— Sahih Muslim, Hadith 2581
